United States President Donald Trump expressed his gratitude to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Wednesday, thanking them for remaining "neutral" regarding the conflict in Iran, APA reports.
During his press conference at the G7 summit in France, Trump stated that he had a "long" talk with Xi and asked him not to give or sell weapons that could take down airplanes to Iran, noting that "for the most part" Beijing did not sell those weapons. He added that Putin and Xi's decision not to get involved in the conflict with Iran made it "a lot better."
