A high-level roundtable was held in Baku in November 2025 between the Azerbaijani government and the leadership of the Arab Coordination Group, during which the parties identified new cooperation opportunities in infrastructure, energy transition, digital connectivity, water resources and transport, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund Ulvi Mansurov said at the session titled “Strengthening Cooperation Between the Arab Coordination Group and the Private Sector for Sustainable Development” held within the framework of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meetings, APA reports.

According to him, a memorandum of understanding was also signed during the meeting, creating a framework for joint activities and future financing initiatives.

Mansurov noted that partnerships among governments, development finance institutions, sovereign investors and the private sector are crucial for ensuring sustainable development.

“The private sector is no longer merely a beneficiary of development; it is its main driving force. It plays a vital role in job creation, innovation, productivity growth and the development of sustainable economies,” he said.

He added that no single institution can provide sufficient investment on its own to realize opportunities in infrastructure, energy, food security, digital transformation and climate resilience.

The head of the Fund stressed that Azerbaijan is interested in further deepening cooperation with the Arab Coordination Group and that upcoming high-level meetings with the country's leadership will contribute to the development of new investment initiatives.

“The Arab Coordination Group has demonstrated how coordination among development institutions can help mobilize resources, facilitate the exchange of expertise and maximize impact. We expect to see more co-financing, innovation and cross-border investment projects in the future,” Mansurov emphasized.
