The connection of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan and the project known as the Zangezur Corridor, internationally referred to as TRIPP (Transport Route for International Peace and Prosperity), is important not only for Azerbaijan's exports but also for increasing the efficiency of the Middle Corridor and strengthening connectivity between Central Asian countries, China, Türkiye and Europe, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said during a dialogue held within the framework of the Islamic Development Bank Annual Meetings in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, this is why one of the two industrial zones established in the liberated territories is specifically focused on transport and logistics.
“Agriculture and tourism are also being developed as traditional sectors. At the same time, industrialization is an important area. For example, despite being relatively young, the Aghdam Industrial Park already ranks second in the country in terms of the number of residents. Ultimately, the key combination we seek to maintain is the continuation of state investments alongside growing interest from the private sector, including foreign investors,” he said.
