A Russian delegation will soon visit Azerbaijan ahead of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Games, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Deguatyarev said at the Eastern Economic Forum, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, the Russian delegation is preparing to visit Azerbaijan ahead of the CIS Games. “Azerbaijan’s Minister of Sports, Mr. Gayibov, personally invited me. I will make a separate decision regarding my own participation in the visit,” he said.
The third CIS Games are scheduled to take place from September 28 to October 8 across seven cities in Azerbaijan, with athletes competing in 23 sports disciplines.
