The number of countries and delegations confirmed to participate in the 3rd CIS Games, which will be held in Azerbaijan, has been announced, the Baku City Circuit told APA.
A total of 2,313 delegates from 12 countries will take part in the competition.
It has been confirmed that Azerbaijan will be represented by 349 athletes, Russia by 262, Kazakhstan by 259, Uzbekistan by 254, Belarus by 240, Tajikistan by 144, Turkmenistan by 48, Kyrgyzstan by 126, Kuwait by 6, Türkiye by 38, and Pakistan and Oman, which have just confirmed their participation, will be represented by 4 athletes.
Note that the 3rd CIS Games will be held this year from September 28 to October 8 in seven cities of Azerbaijan – Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi. The competitions will be held at 12 sports venues.
The participation of athletes and official delegates from CIS member and invited countries is expected at the Games.
