Following the 9th General Assembly of Azerbaijan’s National Olympic Committee, the first Executive Committee meeting was held with a new composition in attendance, APA reports.
During the meeting, Azer Aliyev was elected as NOC Secretary General, Chingiz Huseynzade as Vice-President and Head of the Executive Office, while Zemfira Meftahatdinova and Farid Mansurov were elected as NOC Vice-Presidents.
Speaking at the event, Chingiz Huseynzade congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee members and wished them success in their activities in sports and the Olympic Movement in the country.
Recall that on February 18, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was re-elected as President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC). At the 9th General Assembly of the NOC, the head of state was unanimously elected as the head of the organization for the next 4 years.
