A group of Azerbaijani athletes have participated in a departure ceremony for the Summer Olympic Games to be held in Paris, the capital of France, APA reports.
A ceremony was held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport for the athletes. The event was attended by young athletes, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, heads of federations, and media representatives.
It is noted that Azerbaijan will be represented by 48 athletes in 15 sports disciplines across 17 programs at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, which will take place from July 26 to August 11.
