Civil Aviation Authorities of Azerbaijan and China signs document

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Elmin Mammadov met with a delegation led by the Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told APA-Economics.

A new stage of cooperation in civil aviation

According to the information, during the meeting, the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil aviation were discussed. The importance of developing air connectivity, participating jointly in inspections carried out within the framework of control measures for experience exchange, organizing training sessions, and cooperation in the development of civil aviation infrastructure was emphasized.

Beijing-Baku air bridge

A document was signed between the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Azerbaijan State Civil Aviation Agency, which envisages cooperation in various fields of civil aviation, including the development of air connectivity, civil aviation infrastructure, sustainable aviation, flight safety, and aviation security.

Note that this was the first meeting held between the state institutions of the two sides after the signing of the "Joint Statement on the Establishment of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China" by President Ilham Aliyev and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on April 23, 2025.
