There will be no ceasefire that would allow Zelenskyy to be rearmed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference in Baku, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
He also described Zelenskyy’s decision to continue strikes on Russian oil refineries as a “direct and open challenge” to US President Donald Trump.
According to Lavrov, Zelenskyy has openly stated that he is not interested in elections and has deliberately put forward unacceptable conditions.
The Foreign Minister added that Russia has not received any official proposals for a new US-European peace plan:
“Moscow sees no basis for a long-term settlement in the ideas published by Western media. The objectives of the special military operation and Russia’s position on the Ukraine conflict remain unchanged.”
