Azeri Post to launch automated corporate information system

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva - APA-Economics. Azeri Post plans to launch three suites of the automated corporate information system by September.
The first tests of automated corporate information system installed by HP and its partners Colvir and Sinam in Azeri Post have been successful, said the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
The suites are designed for the management of liquidity, deposits and financial services.
Money transfer and utility bill payment suites of the system have been done. The system is slated for the launch in September.
The system installation is part of the Financial Services Development Project between the World Bank and the Government of Azerbaijan that aims to facilitate improvement of the access of the rural population to financial services and improvements in the financial architecture and a component for Azeri Post to build the financial service capacity in rural areas that are presently undeserved or not served by the banking system and to improve access to basic business infrastructure and for delivery of Government services.
Azeri Post is a unit under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
