Baku Metro reopens Icherisheher Station

Deputy chief of traffic department of Baku Metro Etibar Isayev told APA that President Ilham Aliyev had also participated in the event. The president was informed about the work done.
The Metro Station was closed for reconstruction from July 5. The most modern materials were used in the reconstruction. Isayev said the escalators of Icherisheher Metro Station would be replaced in mid-2009.
The Cabinet passed a decision on April 25 to rename Baku Soveti Station as Icherisheher.
First opened in 1967, Baku Metro operates 21 stations and a depot now.
