A group of schoolchildren in Ganja suffered food poisoning after eating doner, APA reports.
The incident occurred yesterday around 21:30. In total, 8 children — 5 boys and 3 girls — were hospitalized at the Infectious Diseases Department of the Abbas Sahhat Hospital under the Ganja City United Hospital.
TABIB reported that the patients were diagnosed with “gastroenteritis and colitis of unspecified origin” and were provided with the necessary medical care. Since their condition was assessed as satisfactory, the students were discharged for outpatient treatment.
The identities of the affected children have also been revealed. They are F. Ismayilov (born 2015), X. Taghiyeva (2015), N. Mammadova (2015), A. Mammadzade (2015), H. Huseynli (2015), as well as A. Zeynalov (2014), T. Jafarzade (2014), and A. Mirzayev (2015). All of them are students of Secondary School No. 16 named after M. S. Vazeh in Ganja.
Relevant authorities have been involved, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
