Three more employees of the State Customs Committee were detained as part of a criminal case initiated by the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General, APA reports.
Preventive measures were also imposed on committee employees Zaur Hashimov, Farrukh Hagverdiyev and Fariz Maharramov by court decision.

Employees of the State Customs Committee’s Main Customs Department for Maritime Transport and Energy Resources, Heydar Eyvazov and Tamerlan Akhundzade, have been detained.
According to information obtained by APA, a court has issued a pre-trial detention order against them.
They have been charged under the following articles: 206.4 (smuggling committed by an organized group); 213-1.2.2 and 213-1.2.3 (selling goods that must be marked with excise stamps without such stamps, and goods that must have mandatory labeling without the required labeling; storing such goods for sale; removing them from the production facility; or importing them, as well as repeated cash transactions involving such goods); and 308.2 (abuse of official powers causing serious consequences).
