PACE co-rapporteurs meet Supreme Courtâ€™s Chairman Ramiz Rzayev

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh â€“ APA. Co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Joseph Debono Grech, Pedro Agramunt and the Monitoring Committee’s Deputy Secretary Agnieszka Nachilo met with Chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev.

The Supreme Court told APA that in his speech Rzayev said that Azerbaijani judicial system worked as the European judicial system: â€œThe international legal acts, especially the European Conventionâ€™s case-law on â€œProtection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedomsâ€ are discussed at the sessions held in the Supreme Court. Human factor is essential. The special measures are taken to realize the â€œNational Action Plan for protection of human rights in the Republic of Azerbaijanâ€. We try to adopt fair law-drafts, they must be based on the common experience. The up-to-date information technologies are used in the judicial systemâ€.

The chairman of the Supreme Court answered the Monitoring Committeeâ€™s questions about Azerbaijan.
