Internationally wanted person for 15 years arrested in Azerbaijan - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Zulfugar Safar Safarov, born in 1967, from Fuzuli region killed Sumgayit city resident Idrak Asgarov in front of the Pipe-Rolling Plant in Sumgayit city, in 1995.

After that incident, Safarov escaped and hid in Russia and several CIS countries for a long time. Though law-enforcement bodies had information on this murder, it was impossible to catch the criminal, because Safarov often changed the places. A year after the crime, he was declared internationally wanted via Interpol.

Finally, 15 years later, the police received information on Safarovâ€™s arrival in Azerbaijan, he was in the north-western region of the country. Safarov has been arrested as a result of operations carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry, Sumgayit City Police Office and Gakh Region Police Department officers.

Currently, the investigation is underway on the fact.
