Threat indicators detected during cyberattacks against government agencies in Azerbaijan are also shared with the financial sector, Nadir Novruzov, Head of Department at the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the Service cooperates with financial institutions in the field of cybersecurity, particularly with the banking sector through the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
"We have a system for sharing indicators of compromise. Whenever a threat indicator is identified, information is shared, including IP addresses and malware hash values," he said.
Nadir Novruzov noted that this information, identified during attacks against government agencies, is also transmitted to financial institutions.
According to him, the aim is to enable banks to take preventive measures against potential cyberattacks.
