North Korea’s military leadership is considering deploying additional tactical strike systems along the border with South Korea, KCNA reported, citing a statement by Kim Yo Jong, a department director of the Workers’ Party Central Committee.
She said Pyongyang could deploy additional weapons systems along its southern border and resume loudspeaker broadcasts as a precaution against unexpected developments.
Kim blamed South Korea’s armed forces for escalating tensions in border areas.
She claimed that South Korean troops had made 2,870 warning broadcasts over loudspeakers and fired warning shots on 201 occasions between August 1 and October 17.
