The development of artificial intelligence technologies is creating new challenges in the field of information security, Allahveran Ismayilov, Deputy Chief of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security, said at the opening ceremony of the 8th Summit of Information Security Leaders held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the main challenges include the creation of more convincing phishing attacks using artificial intelligence, the improvement of social engineering techniques, the falsification of audio and video content, the spread of disinformation, and the execution of existing cyber threats on a larger scale.
Allahveran Ismayilov noted that artificial intelligence, while creating new opportunities, also requires a reconsideration of traditional approaches to security.
He emphasized that artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future but a reality of today. This technology accelerates decision-making, facilitates the analysis of large volumes of data, and strengthens cyber defense capabilities.
