Uncontrolled use of publicly available artificial intelligence tools and the transfer of sensitive data to external platforms create additional risks to information security, Allahveran Ismayilov, Deputy Chief of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security (SSSCIS), said at the 8th Summit held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, dependence on cloud services and third-party providers, as well as uncertainties surrounding how artificial intelligence systems collect, process, and store data, create additional security risks.

Allahveran Ismayilov emphasized that the implementation of artificial intelligence is not a separate technological decision that can be made independently of information security considerations.

"This is a strategic issue that directly affects an organization's governance model, risk assessment, and data protection," he said.

The deputy chief added that identifying and assessing risks associated with artificial intelligence in government agencies is of particular importance.
