Another person involved in setting cars on fire in Masazir settlement of Absheron district on October 10 has been detained, APA reports.
According to information, the person who organized the burning of four cars in Masazir settlement was detained by the State Security Service (SSS) while traveling by air from Georgia to Uzbekistan. The suspect was brought to Azerbaijan and arrested.
It should be noted that videos of the incident caused widespread public reaction in the media. All participants in the crime were identified and detained as a result of operational-search measures carried out by SSS officers.
The accused have been charged under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and pretrial detention has been ordered against them by court decisions.
Preliminary investigative proceedings are currently underway.
The names of those arrested and the motive behind the crime have not been disclosed.
It should be noted that Mercedes, Lada, Hyundai, and Renault passenger cars were damaged by the deliberate fire.
