US President Donald Trump has stated that his country could halt military operations against Iran at any time, APA reports.
The US President claimed that Iran's ability to acquire nuclear weapons had been eliminated and that Washington was therefore not obliged to continue military operations.
"They cannot and will not have nuclear weapons. Somebody said you could leave right now. It’s true. We could leave right now. They’re not going to have a nuclear weapon," Trump said while addressing his supporters in Kansas.
He recalled the strikes carried out by US B-2 strategic bombers against Iran's nuclear facilities in June last year.
According to Trump, that operation limited Iran's ability to acquire nuclear weapons.
The US President did not provide specific information on when or under what conditions military operations would be halted.
