Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The South Caucasus Forum jointly organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan, Nizami Ganjavi International Center and the Club de Madrid has kicked off in Baku, APA reports. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva are also attending the opening of the forum.
The two-day forum is attended by Queen Noor of Jordan, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General Nafis Sadik, former Turkish President Suleyman Damiral and ex-presidents of several countries. In general, about 200 well-known political figures from more than 40 countries are participating in the forum.
The forum will focus on women's issues, inter-religious and intercultural dialogue, the ongoing processes in the region, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and other conflict zones in the region.
