Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev, has met with the Ambassador of Lithuania in Azerbaijan, Kęstutis Vaškelevičius, APA reports.

The ambassador announced the meeting on his social media account.

"In a meeting with Mr. Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, we discussed Lithuania–Azerbaijan relations, regional and European security, and Lithuania’s upcoming Presidency of the European Union. Looking forward to further strengthening Lithuania–Azerbaijan cooperation," the Ambassador noted.
