Demining operations are continuing in the liberated villages of the Gazakh district, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov told APA.
Responding to APA's question during a briefing held on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of ANAMA, Suleymanov said that, as a result of the ongoing operations, 357 hectares of land have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance in the four liberated villages of Gazakh.
He noted that 1,154 anti-personnel mines, 146 anti-tank mines, and 62 pieces of unexploded ordnance have been detected and neutralized.
