The legal status of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) was determined after the war in 2021, Chairman of ANAMA's Board Vugar Suleymanov said, APA reports.
Speaking at a briefing held on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of ANAMA, Suleymanov said that the number of personnel was increased afterwards, and new equipment and dogs were acquired.
"Among the latest equipment, China donated two X-ray devices to the Agency. Using these devices, we can see what is inside enclosed spaces and cabinets without opening them. This is a new technology, and we have not used such devices before. They are very useful for clearing houses and enclosed spaces because it was previously very difficult for us to detect booby-trap mines attached to doors," he said.
