"In 2021, Armenia provided us with more than 900 minefield maps on three occasions. These covered areas along the former line of contact. In fact, they did not even fully cover those areas," Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), said at a briefing marking the agency's 28th anniversary, APA reports.

The ANAMA chairman said that, according to technical regulations, minefield maps should include coordinates, reference points, the types and number of buried mines, the distance between them, and information on the methods of emplacement and concealment.

"However, the submitted maps contained inaccurate, unreliable, and incomplete information. Following analysis and processing, it was determined that the information did not correspond to the actual minefields, the coordinates of the reference points were incorrect and unusable, and the maps had only 25% accuracy and reliability," he said.

The ANAMA chairman also noted that there have been no new developments regarding the submission of additional minefield maps.
