Mikheil Saakashvili: There are negative forces in the region interested in the destabilization in Azerbaijan

The fate of the security and development of Europe, everything is being solved in Azerbaijan. The stability and development of Azerbaijan and peaceful development of all political processes show that our recent achievements will not be just a part of history, but will be continued,” said Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili addressing the South Caucasus Forum in Baku, APA reports.

Saakashvili said there are negative forces in the region interested in the destabilization in Azerbaijan.

“We felt this in Georgia. These forces will make efforts to interrupt the process of Azerbaijan’s development. This process makes restless those who can not imagine themselves without empire ambitions. Azerbaijan, which is pursuing independent foreign policy and gaining achievements, is quite a new reality for this area. Azerbaijan has shown an example, therefore, we should protect it,” he said.
