The President of Azerbaijan: â€œBy 2018 there will be no economic, social, infrastructural problems in the country

We have excellent results in development of all kinds of sports. Azerbaijani athletes successfully represented the country in various international competitions,” said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a speech at the opening of Gobustan sports complex, APA reports.

The President noted that Azerbaijan is also on high level in the most important sporting event - the Olympic Games: “Our athletes won 10 medals at last year's Olympics - it was an historic achievement - and took 30th place in the world. In Europe, we took the 15th place”.

The President noted that the pace of development in Azerbaijan is the highest in the world: "The evidence for this is the history of the last 10 years. We will continue to grow at a rapid pace. Although now in the world, in Europe, the crisis deepens, people are losing their jobs, jobs and salaries are cut and we can see to what the big problems it causes. But in Azerbaijan, we see a completely different picture. The crisis has not affected us, because we have a very thought-out policy. We have an independent policy in the economic sphere as well as in addressing social issues. It is an independent policy and protected us from those problems.

Of course, we are integrating and were integrated into the global economy. We have fully applied the market economy. We have absolutely independent policy in the economic sphere. This policy reflects itself in economic reforms. At the same time, we have completely independent financial and credit policy and our currency is stable. One or two years ago, many countries of the region have undergone devaluation of the national currency, it has lost value, and the people suffered from this. But in Azerbaijani manat is stronger every day and now 1 manat is 1 euro. Of course, in order to achieve this success, there must be well thought-out policy and an independent course. And it is in Azerbaijan. All the measures have been taken for the successful development of the country in the future. The second State program on development of the regions will be completed at the end of this year. The government is now working on the third program. The third five-year program will cover the work to be done in all areas, and by 2018 there will be no economic, social, infrastructural problems in the country. "
