Italy qualifies for last 16 after 1-1 tie with Croatia

Croatia and Italy finished the final Euro 2024 Group B match played at Red Bull Arena in Leipzig in a 1-1 draw on Monday, with Italy qualifying for the round of 16 in the eighth minute of the extra time, APA reports citing BBN.

Luka Modric scored the goal for Croatia in the 55th minute. The Croatians' joy lasted almost until the end of the match when Italy's Mattia Zaccagani found the net in the eighth minute of extra time to secure his team's advance to the knockout stage.

After the final match of Group B, Spain has 9 points and Italy 4 points, while Croatia and Albania with 2 and 0 points, respectively, failed to secure a place in the knockout stage of the championship.
