- News on your assuming post of â€œNeftchiâ€ coach has been spread recently. Would you please explain this newsâ€¦
- I have heard about it. My friends got in touch with me on this issue. But it is not real. I am in Sweden now.
- Did you receive proposal from â€œNeftchiâ€?
-No I did not.
- Will you receive â€œNeftchiâ€ proposal?
- As it did not happen it is senseless to talk about it. I do not know current ledership of â€œNeftchiâ€. I just know that Gurban Gurbanov is itâ€™s coach.
- In any case â€œNeftchiâ€ is close team to you. You possibly wish to work as a coach of â€œNeftchiâ€â€¦
-Undoubtedly. â€œNeftchiâ€ is close to me and I held most part of my career in â€œNeftchiâ€. I grew in this club. I took my first steps in â€œNeftchiâ€. I became second team member ion â€œNeftchiâ€ at my seventeen. I played in â€œNeftchiâ€ till my 29. But I do not think to work â€œNeftchiâ€ coach.
- â€œNeftchiâ€ failures in recent time cause these opinionsâ€¦
-I know that â€œNeftchiâ€ lost its first match in Azerbaijan championship. I learnt about it from Internet. I think it should not come to panic. Such cases are observed in football. I do not think it is fair to remove Gurban Gurbanov from his post just for one match. There are many matches. He should enjoy one more chance.
- â€œNeftchiâ€ did win neither championship nor Cup this year and lost UEFA Cup matchesâ€¦
-â€œNeftchiâ€ as ambitious team was always at the centre of attention. We should not lose courage.
- Do you believe Gurban Gurbanovâ€™s success as a coach?
- He was good footballer. He held a lot of matches both in national team and in different clubs. I know nothing about his activity as coach. He played in Russia and is experienced. Maybe he is not enough skilled as coach. I think it will advisable to trust him
- What did you feel when â€œNeftchiâ€ lost UEFA Cup matches?
-I did not watch â€œNeftchiâ€ -â€œRiedâ€ match. So it is difficult for me to say anything.
- Generally, did you watch any match of Azerbaijan clubs?
No. I did not
- Are you informed on the recent developments in Azerbaijan football? Do you know that â€œMKT-Arazâ€ collapsed?
-Yes. I do. I was very much disappointed to hear it. It was only three years old. â€œMKT-Arazâ€ spent much money, established infrastructure, bases, built stadium. It is not clear for me why â€œMKT-Arazâ€ collapsed after all these.
-You are jobless for already two months. You must have received proposal during this period.
Yes I did. But I did not think advisable to get them.
- What concrete countries made proposals?
- Were Azerbaijan among those countries?
-I do not want to say concrete names. I did not receive proposal from Azerbaijan after leaving â€œMashuk-KMVâ€
- When can we see you in the coach post of new club?
- I am in Sweden and will rest some time. I hope this wil happen till the ned of this year.
- When do you plan to visit Azerbaijan?
-In autumn
