Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based 25 insurers collected AZN 285.3 million insurance premiums in January-June 2016, up 17.7% or AZN 42.950 million from previous year, The Financial Markets Supervisory Authority told APA-Economics.
Insurance payments during six months made AZN 101.4 million, up 10.1% from 2015.
Premiums and payments on voluntary insurance types relevantly increased 15.54% and 4.93% to AZN 177.1 million and AZN 75.1 million.
Premiums in life insurance rose 35%, payments – 1.2 times. Non-life premiums grew 7.5%, payments dropped 5%.
AZN 35.5 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium in the reporting period, while it was AZN 38 in 2015.
