EBRD's current investment portfolio in Azerbaijan nears 900 million euros

Azerbaijan's current portfolio with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) reached 892 million euros as of June 30 this year, the EBRD said, APA-Economics reports.

According to the information, this represents an increase of 2%, or 18 million euros, compared to one month earlier. The number of active projects currently stands at 36.

It was noted that 90% of the portfolio (800 million euros) is invested in sustainable infrastructure, 7% (62 million euros) in industry, commerce and agribusiness, and 3% (30 million euros) in the corporate sector. The bank's operational assets in the country also increased by 7%, reaching 721 million euros.

Thus, to date, the EBRD has invested 3.748 billion euros in Azerbaijan through 202 projects, with 94.1% (3.528 billion euros) of this amount already disbursed by borrowers for project implementation. The private sector accounts for 41% of the portfolio.

It should be recalled that in 2025, the EBRD allocated 81 million euros for 10 projects in Azerbaijan.
