During January–October 2025, the volume of cash US dollar transactions conducted by banks in Azerbaijan amounted to 3 billion 262.6 million, APA-Economics reports, citing its calculations based on the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
This figure decreased by 8.7% or 310 million US dollars compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Note that during the reporting period, banks’ cash US dollar purchases increased by 26% compared to January–October 2024, reaching 1 billion 753.2 million, while sales decreased by 30.9%, totaling 1 billion 509.4 million.
During this period, banks’ cash euro purchases increased by 40.8% compared to January–October of the previous year, reaching 159 million 295.4 thousand, while sales decreased by 11.1%, totaling 139 million 476.9 thousand.
