The tax exemption period for media entities in Azerbaijan is being extended for another three years, APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Tax Code, which was discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis.
Note that the three-year tax exemption period for media entities was set to expire on January 1, 2026. Thus, this period is being extended for another three years.
Thus, from January 1, 2026, for a period of three years, the income earned by media entities (excluding audiovisual media entities) from their activities (including advertising revenues), as well as material assistance provided by a body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, will be exempt from taxation.
After discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted on third reading.
