Azerbaijan allocates over 1 billion manats for reconstruction of liberated territories in first half of 2026

During the January–June period of this year, 1.0641 billion manats, or 30.4% of the annual allocation, was utilized for the reconstruction and restoration of the liberated territories based on cash payment requests submitted by contracting organizations for the relevant projects, APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Finance.

Of the funds used:

974.1 million manats was allocated to infrastructure projects, including:

489.3 million manats for the design, construction, and reconstruction of road infrastructure;

371.1 million manats for the design and construction of new residential complexes;

67.6 million manats for the development of tourism infrastructure;

15.9 million manats for the design and construction of cable cars in Shusha, Khankendi, and Lachin;

15.3 million manats to provide electricity supply to settlements in the liberated territories;

7.6 million manats for the preparation of design and cost estimates and the construction of main water pipelines, wastewater and stormwater collectors, and related facilities;

7.3 million manats for the establishment of industrial parks and the creation of infrastructure within their territories.

In addition:

29.8 million manats was allocated to social projects in the healthcare and culture sectors;

45.3 million manats was spent on mine clearance operations; and

14.9 million manats was directed toward the construction and repair of defense and law enforcement facilities.
