Average monthly salary in Azerbaijan increases by more than 9%

In January–October 2025, the average monthly nominal salary of salaried employees in Azerbaijan increased by 9.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1,086.3 manats, APA-Economics reports, the State Statistical Committee

It was noted that the average monthly nominal salary was higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in the transportation and storage sectors.

As of November 1, 2025, the number of salaried employees in the country’s economy amounted to 1,782.4 thousand people, of whom 865.7 thousand worked in the public sector and 916.7 thousand in the non-public sector.

Of all salaried employees, 18.8% worked in trade and vehicle repair; 18.1% in education; 14.0% in industry; 8.6% in healthcare and social services; 6.7% in construction; 6.3% in public administration and defense; social security; 4.5% in transportation and storage; 4.0% in professional, scientific and technical activities; 2.4% in agriculture, forestry and fishing; 2.3% in financial and insurance activities; and 14.3% were employed in other sectors of the economy.
