Single-digit inflation is expected in Azerbaijan this year

According to review, the stability of macro economy was provided on the background of strengthening of inflationary processes and reviving of total demand.

Note that, annual average inflation made 7.9% in 2011. Annual average inflation on non-food goods stood at 2.6%, in comparison with early 2011 â€“ at 1.2%. Prices o services rose 5.1% from early of year, annual average inflation made 4.7%.

Review says 5.7 percentage points of inflation was related to food products, 0.7 p.ps â€“ non-food products and 1.5 p.ps rise of services.

According to IMF assessments, per 10%-change of food products in world market change food prices by 3.2% in Azerbaijan.

At the same time, the inflation in partner countries exceeded the Azerbaijanâ€™s inflation by 1.7 percentage points.
