Premiums on voluntary vehicle insurance rise 30% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. In January, 2012, AZN 3.215 mln premium was collected on voluntary vehicle insurance in Azerbaijan, up 75% from year earlier.

According to calculation of APA-Economics, the payments on auto-accidents rose 75% to AZN 1.554 mln.

Besides, the premium on compulsory insurance of civil responsibility of vehicle owners made AZN 2.030 mln, up 6.5 times from previous year. No payment was implemented in January, 2012.

Note that, share of premium on voluntary vehicle insurance made 8.7%, on compulsory vehicle insurance â€“ 5.4%.

Most of premiums were collected by AXA MBASK, Ateshgah Sigorta, Standard Insurance, Azersigorta, Azsigorta and International Insurance Company.
