Yanukovych appoints Poroshenko minister of economy

"As you have said, Kolobov has been so far approved for the post of Finance Minister, Poroshenko for the post of Economy Minister," he said.

In his words, this is official information about these appointments, and now Kolobov and Poroshenko are assuming their duties.

When commenting on appointment of Poroshenko Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Yefremov pointed to his constructive work on the Rada’s budget committee, and pronounced hope that he had preserved his qualities.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Poroshenko heads the National Bank of Ukraine Council; and Kolobov is NBU first deputy governor.

Poroshenko from October 2009 to March 2010 was Foreign Affairs Minister.

President Viktor Yanukovych on February 22 appointed Valerii Khoroshkovskyi First Vice Prime Minister, who had been Finance Minister from January 18.

Yanukovych on February 14 dismissed Raisa Bohatyriova from the post of secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and replaced her with Andrii Kliuev, who was First Vice Prime Minister / Economic Development and Trade Minister before.
