"Trump tried to break the deadlock on Ukraine, but there's no peace deal yet, this is all still in the working progress," NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said during a meeting with students at the University of Sarajevo, APA reports.
Rutte said that Europe should be thinking of what could a security guarantee mission look like if that will be necessary to preserve ceasefire/peace deal in Ukraine: "But I think President Donald Trump is right. There is no peace deal yet but at the same time, you have to already think of how to preserve peace if it comes in the future. There are many models to do that and one of the models is now being work through by the French and Brits. I think all of these are positive, and hopefully, we will get peace deal soon."
Rutte emphasized that this of course, has to be good deal.
