Hackers attacked the networks of the Berlin Senate, and a preliminary investigation is underway, APA reports citing DPA news agency.
It is known for certain that the Senate Office of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing, as well as the Office of Mobility, Transport, Environment, and Climate Protection, were attacked. They were disconnected from the government network to prevent damage to other departments.
The state criminal investigation office, the Berlin public prosecutor's office, and the Federal Office for Information Technology Security (BSI) have been involved in the investigation. A crisis management team has been established.
It is not yet known whether a data leak occurred.
