The criteria for assessing whether a person is considered a highly qualified migrant have been changed, APA reports.
The Cabinet of Ministers made a decision in this regard.
Until now, the evaluation criteria and the score thresholds to be assigned for each criterion during the assessment were determined based on the following table:
| Criteria |
Score (points) |
|
1. Professional experience in the field of specialization |
0 – 35 |
|
2. Alignment with the country’s socio-economic development priorities |
0 – 20 |
|
3. Education |
0 – 15 |
|
4. Financial resources |
0 – 15 |
|
5. Positive impact on the domestic labor market |
0 – 10 |
|
6. Foreign language proficiency |
0 – 5 |
According to the amendment, the evaluation criteria and the score thresholds to be assigned for each criterion during the assessment will now be determined based on the following table:
| Criteria | Score (points) |
|
1. Professional experience in the field of specialization |
0 – 55 |
|
2. Alignment with the country’s socio-economic development priorities |
0 – 20 |
|
3. Financial resources |
0 – 15 |
|
4. Positive impact on the domestic labor market |
0 – 10 |
Note that when the total score of the awarded points is at least 70 (seventy), the foreigner is considered to have reached the passing score required to be recognized as a highly qualified migrant.
