Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed plans to continue checking the readiness of the troops, Lukashenko told journalists, BelTA reports.
“I have already said it in plain language: the army needs to be shaken up, the time has come. The entire army. We will check everyone, up to and including mobilization,” Lukashenko said.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that an artillery brigade is currently being inspected on his instructions.
He recalled that tank units had previously been inspected.
“We are doing everything as in wartime,” the Belarusian President said, noting that the experience of modern military conflicts is being used in such inspections.
