The “Azerbaijan Open 2026” golf tournament, held with the support of “Azersun Holding”, “PASHA Real Estate” and “Dreamland Baku”, has concluded, APA reports. Organized by “Dreamland Golf Club” since 2016 and having already become a tradition, the tournament brought together foreign amateur golfers as well as golf enthusiasts in our country.
During the two-day tournament, local and foreign amateur golfers competed in individual and team competitions.
The overall champion of the tournament and the winner of the team competition were Khalil Huseynov, Ilgar Ahmadov, Elman Rzayev and Tofig Afandizade. Nitin Kapoor, Kim Kwang Il, Kim Changsoo and Sang Jun Park took second place, while Chris Williams, Mark Taylor, Brian Lawson and Graham Beattie finished third.
The tournament’s partners included “Dreamland Golf Club”, the Azerbaijan Golf Federation, “Khazar Fabrication”, “Shura Links”, “Paragraph, Zala Springs Golf Resort”, “Dreamland Golf Hotel”, “IMG”, “Kashibeyaz Baku”, “Bazarstore”, “The National Azerbaijan Golf Club” and “Dream Body Athletic Club & Spa”.
Expanding its scope from year to year, the “Azerbaijan Open” tournament makes an important contribution to enabling amateur golfers to gain international tournament experience, promoting golf in Azerbaijan, increasing interest in this sport and promoting the country as an international golf destination.
