Six people died in a traffic accident in the Tambov Municipal District of the Amur Region, the regional State Traffic Inspectorate informed, APA report.
"According to preliminary information, at approximately 1:00 a.m., at the 41st kilometer of the Blagoveshchensk-Gomelevka highway, an Infiniti and a Toyota Corona Premio collided due to driving into the oncoming lane. The impact caused the Infiniti to catch fire," the statement reads.
As a result, four people—the drivers and passengers of both vehicles—died at the scene from their injuries. Two passengers in the Toyota were taken to the hospital, where they also later died.
"An investigative task force is working at the scene. The identities of the deceased are being established," the State Traffic Inspectorate added.
