A ceremony dedicated to Mexico's Independence Day has been held in Shusha, APA’s correspondent sent to Karabakh reports.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps visiting Karabakh and East Zangezur attended the event.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Mexico.
In her speech, Mexico's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, María Victoria Romero Caballero, expressed her pleasure at celebrating her country's Independence Day in Shusha for the second time.
"It is a great honor for me to be in Shusha for the second time and to celebrate the 216th anniversary of Mexico's independence. We first celebrated this day here in 2024. I extend my gratitude to the Azerbaijani authorities for the arrangements made to celebrate Mexico's National Day together with all of you in Shusha—Azerbaijan's historic city and cultural capital," the ambassador said.
