Representatives of the diplomatic corps visiting Karabakh and East Zangezur have visited the bullet-riddled busts of prominent Azerbaijani figures Natavan, Bulbul and Uzeyir Hajibeyli in the city of Shusha, which were shot during the period of occupation, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Karabakh reports.
The diplomats were informed that the busts, which were subjected to Armenian vandalism during the occupation, were looted and taken to Armenia, where attempts were made to melt them down as scrap metal.
It was noted that as a result of the intervention of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the monuments were returned to Azerbaijan.
