In January–February of this year, Georgia conducted trade operations with Azerbaijan worth $214.3 million, APA’s local bureau reports, citing Georgia’s National Statistics Office.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume increased by 0.52%.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s total trade turnover amounted to 6.1%. With this indicator, Azerbaijan ranked fifth among Georgia’s main trading partners after Türkiye, China, Russia, and the United States.
Exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to $95.1 million, which is a 2.7% decrease year-on-year. Azerbaijan ranked third among Georgia’s main export partners with a 9.3% share, after China and Kyrgyzstan.
The value of goods imported by Georgia from Azerbaijan increased by 1.7% year-on-year to $119.2 million. Azerbaijan ranked sixth among Georgia’s main import partners with a 4.8% share, after Türkiye, Russia, China, the United States, and Germany.
In January–February, Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover reached $3.51 billion, which is a 6.9% decrease year-on-year. Exports amounted to $1.03 billion, while imports totaled $2.48 billion.
