The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), operating under the the State Service for Antimonopoly and Control Over Consumer Market, has approved the “National Standardization Program for 2026–2028,” APA-Economics reports, citing AZSTAND.
According to the information, the draft program was developed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Standardization,” as well as the “Rules for the Formation of the National Standardization Program and Making Amendments to It,” approved by Decision No. 285 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 27, 2024, taking into account the relevant opinions and proposals of more than 50 public and private institutions.
The Program covers services, tourism, environment, occupational safety and health, metrology and testing, mechanical and hydraulic systems, energy and electrical engineering, information technologies and telecommunications, transport and transport infrastructure, jewelry, packaging, textile and leather technology, food and agriculture, chemical technology, minerals and mining industry, oil and related technologies, metallurgy and mechanical engineering, wood and furniture technology, glass and ceramics industry, rubber and plastics industry, paper and cardboard, paint and coatings and non-ferrous paint industry, construction materials, construction and civil engineering, children’s goods, and other important strategic sectors.
