In January-July of the current year, 22 771 tons of oil were transported through oil pipelines in Azerbaijan, which is 1,32% more in annual comparison, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the Committee, 75,4% of the transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipeline (BTC), and during the reporting period, 17 167 thousand tons of oil were transferred through this pipeline, which is 2,5% less in annual comparison.
During the reporting period, 81,3% or 13 952,5 thousand tons (6.3% decrease) of the oil transported through the BTC pipeline was made up of oil produced in Azerbaijan and 18,7% or 3 214,5 tons (10,5% increase) of the oil transported through the BTC pipeline was made up of oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
Recall that last year, 39,753.2 thousand tons of oil were transported through main oil pipelines, which is 5.2% more than the previous year. 75.9% of the transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipeline (BTC), and 30,191.6 thousand tons of oil were transferred through this pipeline last year, which is 1.49% more than the previous year.
During the reporting period, 82.6% or 24,950.9 thousand tons of oil transported through the BTC pipeline was produced in Azerbaijan, and 17.4% or 5,240.7 thousand tons (2.7% increase) oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
